Thank you for taking the time to learn more about Our Community Table is doing in our local community and beyond.
Our Community Table is a faith-based ministry that is bringing churches and the community together to help those in need. What we started on April 10th, 2020 has grown to become a well-recognized ministry that targets local families in need of food. We believe not one person should have to go without a meal on a Saturday much less any other day of the week. We have since started an End Hunger Campaign to direct additional focus on raising awareness within the county to open the eyes of those that may not have the knowledge or understanding of the real need in Martin County when it comes to food poverty. With more than 1600 meals weekly being served every Saturday and over 285,000 meals to date we are working hard to meet the needs and End Hunger in Martin County.
Ministry Vision:
Our vision is to expand the ministry to ensure that no one should have to do without a meal. We have expanded the ministry to 11 stations in Martin County (Stuart – Hobe Sound – Indiantown) to feed the bodies and souls of those who are less fortunate all around us. We are in the planning stages of expanding outside of Martin County, to opening our first station in St Lucie County. We are celebrating our third year operating in Colombia, South America where we are working closely with our missionary partners serving over 800 meals weekly in several cities looking for new opportunities there locally. It’s exciting to see how the Lord is working through your efforts!
Our goal our vision is to End Hunger but we need the help and support!
Future Expansion Plans:
- Our own facility or building we can use as a home base.
- Provide clothing through our own Clothing Closet.
- Operate a Mobile Food Pantry.
- Purchase vans for food transport.
- Forming a Disaster Relief Team.
- Provide assistance and resources for other relief efforts that are unforeseen to the community.
- Provide a space for meeting rooms and counseling.
- Facilitate small group studies to build a deeper understanding of who Jesus is and learn more about the Word of God.
- Catering events to raise awareness.
- Collaborating with other non-profits to help each other’s efforts in providing assistance for those who are in need in Martin County.
Ministry Growth:
- The ministry has grown from serving 124 meals on our first Saturday to serving over 1600+ meals each week. Our team is growing with over 400 active dedicated volunteers that participate in helping to serve our community.
- Our valued volunteers include those who are physically or mentally handicapped, to families who are teaching their young children the importance of helping those in need by giving back. We also have the ones we serve meals to giving back by helping those in need.
