When hurricanes, tornadoes, and other disasters strike, families and communities can suddenly find themselves without food, electricity, clean water, or access to essential services. Mission on Wheels, an initiative of Our Community Table Ministries, is designed to bring food, relief, and hope directly to communities when they need it most.
Building on our experience responding to disasters throughout Florida and Western North Carolina, Mission on Wheels will transform a donated semi-truck and 45-foot trailer into a self-contained mobile disaster relief unit. Equipped with commercial food preparation, refrigeration, sanitation, power, and volunteer support facilities, the unit will be capable of preparing and distributing 1,500 to 2,000 hot meals daily, with the potential to serve up to 3,000 meals per day during sustained operations. This mobile platform will allow our volunteers to respond to disasters across the continental United States, providing meals, essential supplies, and compassionate assistance to displaced families, first responders, and communities in crisis.
We have the truck. Now we need your help to bring the mission to life.
Our Community Table is launching a fundraising campaign to raise an estimated $400,000 to $450,000 to complete the truck's conversion, install essential equipment, and establish the resources needed for deployment. We are seeking financial contributions, donated equipment and materials, professional services, and corporate partnerships to make Mission on Wheels a reality.
Your support is more than an investment in a truck. It is an investment in disaster readiness, compassionate service, and the ability to bring help and hope to people facing some of life's most difficult moments. Join us in putting Mission on Wheels into motion. Together, we can be ready when disaster strikes.
